If you honestly felt disgusting and terrible from eating all of those cookies or chocolates, remember it and deal with the situation differently next time. Instead of eating all of the unhealthy gifts, learn to give them away. It's hard to part with chocolate but if it truly made you feel like you lost months of hard work, just get rid of it.

Just Breathe
In order to learn diaphragmatic breathing place your hand on your belly. Take a slow deep breath and watch your hand move not your chest and shoulders. For some if you are in a lying down position (on your back) you can then watch your hand move up toward the ceiling. As you exhale you will watch your hand come back down.
For some individuals you may get lightheaded by taking in more oxygen than your body is used to. Just go back to your normal breathing pattern and the lightheadedness will pass quickly. Practice this style of breathing a number of times during the day.
For those of you that are active try to incorporate diaphragmatic breathing with your aerobic activities. You will find that you will be able to outlast your partner. I am able to outlast younger individuals on the tennis court because of my breathing. I watch as they huff and puff and ask for elongated brakes. Start slowly and by practicing diaphragmatic breathing as often as you can remember and it will eventually become part of your regular breathing pattern.

It is like learning French for example, if you speak only English, except that instead of translating French words into English words, you translate dream images into words and sentences.
If someone is more talented, he or she may learn it earlier. However, a language is something that you really learn with time and practice.
Second Questions:
- How long does it take to be cured from schizophrenia and depression through dream interpretation?
- How many people are successful using this method?
- Is it indicated for anyone?
My answers: Schizophrenia is a mental illness that cannot be cured with any known method. Only through dream interpretation according to the scientific method is this possible, but the therapy takes from 5 to 15 years. This is disappointing, but remember that this is an illness impossible to be cured and that in fact the dream therapy is creating a miracle.
Depression is the simplest existent mental illness and can be cured between 2 and 8 months of psychotherapy.

Make a promise to yourself to be healthier and fitter
The scheme is designed to encourage more people in the city to participate in sport or take up health and fitness activities across SIV's facilities during 2009.
Richard Apps, general manager at the award-winning Hillsborough Leisure Centre, has promised to take part in fitness activities with his children three times a week and learn a new sport, while Ponds Forge's Helen Broadbent will swim or take part in Swim Fit sessions in the Olympic-standard pool at least once a week.
Paul Hudson, from the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, Don Valley Stadium's Pat Smith and Ian Hamlet at Concord Sports Centre have all pledged to regularly use their venue's facilities for exercise and fitness training.
Mandy Janes, general manager of iceSheffield, has promised to learn to skate at the state-of-the-art venue.
Mandy said: "I have been promising to learn to skate since I became general manager three years ago.
"I made the promise and I have been taking lessons for three weeks now.
"Skating is such good fun, I feel fitter, I'm losing weight and using muscles in my body that I didn't realise that I had!
Promises can be made online by logging on to any one of SIV's websites, which can be accessed by visiting www.sivltd.com.
People who make at least four visits to a centre will receive 50 per cent off their next session and those who attend six times will receive one free activity pass to use at any SIV facility.

Health and Fitness: Exercise to build a stronger core
Traditional knowledge says if you want to build rock solid abs you need to do sit-ups or crunches, or sit-ups on a decline bench – and while we are at it, go ahead and throw a twist into the mix so that we hit some external obliques.
But as Gray Cook noted in his 2003 article, “Athletic Body in Balance,” “An abdominal routine that makes your abs burn does not necessarily train your core; it just helps you get really good at an exercise while lying on your back. The strength and endurance you gain while lying down will not completely transfer into a standing position, because that’s where your imbalances come into play.”
We need to recognize there are more muscles involved in the core than just abs and obliques. The core consists of a multitude of muscles we need to be aware of or else imbalances will occur resulting in an increased chance for injury, particularly to the low back region. Muscles of the core include the Rectus Abdominis (abs), Internal and External Obliques, Quadratus Lumborum, Erector Spinae, Transverse Abdominis and the Psoas. You can see where trouble can begin by strengthening certain sections of the core while neglecting others. This promotes muscular imbalance and possible injury.
Secondly, we need to take into account our own lifestyles. Not everyone is the same, so not everyone should do the same routine. For example, there are more sedentary jobs today than every before. People who sit at a desk all day, then sit to drive home, typically have tight Psoas (hip flexors). So why should they do more crunches or sit-ups and further tighten the Psoas, making a problem an even worse problem?
Those with disc problems should particularly stay away from any type of crunch or sit-up, because that movement creates spinal flexion, which makes disc problems even worse. Think of your spine as you would a hamburger, (strange analogy, I know). If you bite down on one side without supporting the opposing side you are going to lose the contents of the burger on that opposite side. The same thing happens with your spine! If you are doing countless crunches, all that compression on one side and expanding on the other is eventually going to lead to a slipped or even herniated disc. Crunches are okay for those who are healthy and without back problems, but too much of anything can be a bad thing, regardless of someone’s health history.
The core’s main function is to stabilize the body during movement and also stabilize the spine to prevent injury. Secondly, the core produces certain movements, such as in a golf swing; but, in all our movements, the spine needs to be stable and in proper alignment. Muscular endurance and stability are always going to be more beneficial and functional than muscular strength and we need to train it as such. Take a water skier, for example. A water skier needs core stability and the ability to maintain that stability for a longer duration of time, not just a short powerful burst.
To build a good core routine we need to keep certain questions in mind. Is the core exercise functional and will it transfer to real life applications? Is my routine balanced? Are my movements okay given my medical history? If you can say yes to these, you have established a great core routine that is now going to benefit your health, not hinder it.
Of course there are many core exercises to choose from and they are all good, but not all may be appropriate for certain individuals. Also make sure they are promoting balance within the entire core system.
